Why Wait?

John 17:3 Jesus says that eternal life is knowing God our Father, and Jesus Christ, whom He has sent. THIS is relationship. Relationship is built through intimacy. Another word for intimacy is closeness. To become close with someone, you cannot hide or runaway. You are opened and honest. So, pretty much, intimacy translates into "not hiding anything."

Often times in the church, eternal life is thought of only taking place in after someone dies and leaves their body, and are now in Heaven in their heavenly body, living in heavenly mansions, and walking on streets that are golden. No more tears or pain. But we have just seen that Jesus said eternal life is KNOWING Him.

Matthew 7:7 Jesus said of the pharisees that in that day many will say to Him, Lord Lord, I prophesy in Your name, I cast demons out in Your name, and all these great works in Your name. But on that day He would say ' depart from Me, for I never knew you, you who practice evil things. You can know all the stuff do all the stuff but does He know you? Like really know you? And do you know Him? Like really know Him?

KNOWING HIM - THAT is eternal life!

Heaven (as we think of it) is an eternal place, eternity is a time span (it goes on and on and never ends), but eternal life is ONLY found in Jesus.

John 10:10 Jesus that satan only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But Jesus came to give us LIFE. And not just life, but LIFE ABUNDANTLY. He gave us HIS LIFE. And with this life we get to experience true joy that can never be taken away from us. With this life we can have a supernatural peace that doesn't make sense, where we should be going crazy out of our minds like the rest of the world, but we have peace. With this life, we get to have restoration, and be restored back to the Father to the original part of our creation where man failed and could never walk with God again, but now we have ACCESS to the Father. This LIFE comes with healing, freedom, breakthrough, and restoration. Restoring us back unto Himself. Restoring us back into a relationship again....the way it was always meant to be.

(Here is a video I did few years ago describing an encounter I had with the Lord when I was younger)

We can experience our eternal life here right now on earth. We don't have to wait. This experience is found in intimacy!!

Intimacy in God just like any other relationship. We have relationships in life so that we learn how to have one with Him. Every relationship is grown by communication, honesty, and spending quality time.

As earlier stated, intimacy pretty much translates to not hiding anything.

"But Jenny, how can I grow or talk to Him if He already knows everything and what I am going to say before I even say it?"

I'm glad you asked. Simply put, it's still relationship. He still desires to hear you, just as much (or maybe more) than you desire to hear Him. He loves it when you tell Him about your day. He loves it when you share your joys and excitements with Him, just as much as He loves to hear what is breaking in your heart, or what frustrated you. Even though He knows those things, He still desires you to share them with Him, because in that moment you are opening your heart to Him, sharing yourself with Him, and in turn a beautiful exchange takes place. In exchange for that hurt, He releases joy and gives you His peace, in exchange for confusion He will give you His clarity an understanding. THIS IS RELATIONSHIP. When we share with Him our hearts in that moment, we are opening our selves (positioning ourselves) to Hear Him and to see Him move. And again, in return He blesses us with His peace, His thoughts, His voice, His arms of embrace.

He just desires you to come to Him. And be OPEN! Be honest! Be REAL!

And to COME with EXPECTING! Expecting that He WILL move, He WILL respond, and you WILL hear Him speak, you WILL see Him move! He WILL show up! Because that is Who HE IS! Faithful! There is POWER in EXPECTATION! We will cover the power of expectation in another time!

Isn't it beautiful that He desired/designed to have relationship with us that He made a way for it . He wants to be part of our every day life!!Lets let Him in it! Create a daily habit of Jesus in our life! #Amen

Love you guys, but He loves you more!
